Default What is your favorite crappie jig.

Minnows are getting expensive .

What is your favorite proven jig that has worked for you and approxmately how many crappie have you caught off that lure.

Mine....Hal Flies. red head white body white feathers. Can not find them anymore. Caught about 40 crappie total on that lure.
PS Also good time of the year to pick up a few Sunshine Bass in FLorida. They love jigs too. Awesome fighters and good eatting.

Rattlesnake 2" soft plastic minnow bodies on a 1/32 oz leadhead. My choice for crappie, sunfish, trout, smallmouth, and just about anything that swims in a small creek.

I never heard of the rattlesnake brand. I had some of those 2 days ago and put them back on the shelf. Thanks..I'll go back and buy a few and try them.

Numero Uno-NO 1;1/64,1/32 or 1/16 oz plain lead head with white curly tail grub tied to 4lb test(max). The tiny grubs for the 1/64,1/32 jigs are a bit hard to find but when I find them I usually buy 2-3 packs.
My bro in law and I have tore up Crappies,White/Yellow Perch,Bluegills and actually outfished guys with minnows in DE,MD,VA.
I use another small 1/16 oz swimming jig only found at wall mart but can't think of name??

yellow curly tailed rubber grub with a 1/16 to 1/ 8 oz jig and hook color dont seem to matter much so i use just lead heads top it off with the white crappie bights. this kills um here in va. i use a bobber when i use the crappie bights driftingcast and troll with no bobber . all so i use white rubber grubs same set up. another few good weeks and it will be time to hit it again real hard cant wait. all so i sure am glad i stumbeled across this web sight it rocks thanks
