bought a new reel, pretty nice one too

i had to stop at cabela's and get some stuff for deer hunting the other night and one of my friends works over in fishing so i went over to see if he was working. best decision of the week. turns out they had some reels on clearance, as they're making room for the '06 models. I picked up a Quantum Energy PT 4.4:1 for 70 bucks, marked down from 160. i needed to replace an Abu Garcia 4600 C3 that broke down during a tourney and once during prefishing. you can't get a nicer reel than that for 70 bucks, too bad the river will be frozen over in a couple weeks anyway.

hey slayer that is a good deal on the new reel, but you shouldn't have any trouble fixin or having the 4600 fixed, i have been using the 45&4600's for years they are very tuff, and you can always find parts for them,

I love Quantum. It's the only Baitcasters I have. For the money they have out lasted all the other ones I've tried. Must be metal bearings though and not graphite.
