Erie steelhead runnin.....?

I was just wondering if anyone has heard if they ahve began to run yet or not? I kno september is the time they start movin in , but when will they be runnin up the creek good? i want to get there when they r comin in for once and not goin back out!

The Erie County fishing hotline said they are stacking at the mouth of 18 mile creek.To stay informed the # is (716)855-3474.I doubt if I will get out again this season with a bad leg and the price of gas.The price being even more of a factor as I have pain anyways and love to catch fish.

I am sure there are steelies in but with the salmon run in full swing it like looking for a needle in a pile of needles. They can be caugt but most of the time ya end up with afowl hookedsalmon, and dont forget about the number of guys who fish this time of year. I would say the best time to catch fall steel head is November 15th on, figure out why. There should be a few fish in by then, not great numbers but ya may get luckey. I would use orange eggs, or salmon spawn.

Give a report if ya get outI havent been fishing in a few weeks.

yea i would say soon , but i usually make it out late , like in jan feb or march....i wanna get out there when its a lil warmer , and more fish , i did slam em last yr , i go out right at day break , with a greay and silver jig tipped with either waxworms or minnows!

well went up to the local gander mountian , they had a board up sayin the steelies r in , but i will prolly make my trip up in the next few weeks to see if i can land anything! just waiting for a ncie weather the thursday and friday of a week , and then a sunny weekend to try to hit em up!
