Headed north to a lake west of Sudbury, On. The north is known for its deep, rocky, clear lakes filled with smallmouth. I grew up fishing largemouth and so weeds and lillies make me feel more at home. There was a few bays that were like this and I went to work there.
Kept some for my office backyard fish fry but about 20 more caught and released all over 3lbs (2lbs would be avg size for us) Here's some results.
All you who head north for moose. Bring your rods for some great fall bass action when you need a break.
