I hate it when you have to choose between hunting and fishing. Hunting always rules though in my house.
ditto, but last year the friday before gun season opened was a nice fall day and the wife had been after me about us going fishing, well knowing that gun season was starting and i knew where i'd be spending 70% of my time in the next 2+ months i decided we would go, well we had an unbelieveable day, 40-60 fish most between 3-5 lbs. one of those days we could do no wrong, it was sogood i decided to pass on opening day gun season, for another day of fishing, for two reasons, opening day of gun season is when 95% of the"deer hunters" here go, (besides the hunting gets better between x-mas and the end of jan. here).and the fishing was so unreal. well saturday rolled around and i got a taste of reality[:'(], we fished from daylight till 4:30p.m. and caught a whopping 3 fish,i don't regret it, but i sure couldn't understand it either, no major changes in anything, weather, water temp, or level. i guess thats why they call it fishin, instead of catching, BTW my dad calls bass fishing "casting" he says "well thats all you do, just cast and cast and cast"
