Default Caught a Trout (Pic)

Last weekend I went canoeing on the current river, in the Missouri Ozark Mountains. I went fly fishing and caught one trout. Here in Kansas the only trout there are, are stocked. So I've never caught one here, or rarely see them. What type of trout it this. Brown, Rainbow? Thanks

Thanks, yeah she had a few eggs left in her. There were a lot of trout, but were pretty finiky in biting. Caught a lot of pumpkinseed perch, and large minnows on the fly though. Had a lot of fun.

I do lots of fishing on the current. It's about an hour drive from school to Montauk which is at the spring feeding the current. I also fish farther down where they are more wild. Awesome stream and very clean and pretty.

My wife and I fished behind Table Rock Dam, Branson, MO, Monday and caught probably a hundred fish. All nice rainbows except one small brown. We had planned to wade, but the Corps turned the water on as we were putting on our waders, so had to go to plan B in a boat. I had on one fish that I would have love to have seen. Ran upstream and well on to the backing. I never touched the reel handle, but the hook just came out. If you live nearby, hunter, you should give it a try.

My wife's first time at fly fishing and she did great.
