Chuck, I fished the stickmarsh the past two years but we used lures and caught bass up to the 5# range along with some pickrells. Shiner fishin is the best but I don't use bait. The cut towards the dam is the best and suggest using 30# fluro-carbontest line because of the break-offs. Its a flooded orange grove with some big fish to be caught but its strickly catch and release on the bass. The nearest towne is Fellsmere, a little migrate towne but I would not suggest in staying there but Melbourne or Palm Bay about 30 miles north is your better bet. No fee or reservations are required to fish the stickmarsh. I'm leaving june 30 to fish down in Ochochobee and Toho so I know what far is. Good luck, Bobby
Bobby,
Thanks for the reply. It's quite a ways from my home. I only live 6 miles from Tenoroc Mines Management area. I've been doing good there. Also there is a very good management are ain Hardee County just south of Polk County. I only have a small jon boat and some large lakes I won't even try.

Chuck, I know you said it's too far but if you ever have a chance to fish the farm or marsh I would deffinately take it. We caught roughly 90 bass the day we were out ranging from 3 pounds up to 8 1/4 pounds. We also caught a few pickeral, 2 pelicans, a hawk and a racoon.
