wow 2 piece rods!!! the still make those?? I havent owned a 2 piece rod in years. The only 2 piece rods I still see are the cheapy rods parents usually buy for their kids or heavy action rods over 7 foot.

Don't know what kind of rod you are looking for but there are some very good graphite and composite rods out there. The quality and sensitivity of the new 2 pc rods make them serios tools for walley and small mouth anglers. I have some good ones from Shamano, Finwick and Berkley including the Sieries One's In spinnig rods the cheapest may be the Berkley Cherrywood graphite. About 20.00. for bait casters the Ugly Stik lites. About 40.00. For more money the Series One Berkleys are hard to beat 70-100.00. Fenwick, 50-120.00.

Ugly Stiks are great, you can bend them tip to tip

I have my boat stocked with Ugly stiks. Mostly the Ugly Stik Lites. I have some regular Ugly stiks for running heavy bottom bouncers and use their downrigger rods as well. I keep a couple Berkley Series Ones and Lomis rods in the boat for jigging Walleyes.

James B,
You have some good tastes, you ever use ST.Croix?
I wll put in a vote for the 6'6" Ugly stick lite M/H,for under 40 bucks you cannot beat this rod.

I have several ugly stick lite rods in 6'6" and 7 foot medium and medium heavy actions for cat fishing they are casting rods and they are all one piece. I did not know they made these in 2 piece rods??? they would be much easier to store in a 2 piece configuration.

BBJ I have looked over the St Croix but have not tried one. I just bought a 6'6" 2 pc MH Ugly stik for pike fishing. I have a one piece as well but its a bit harder to get in my rod box in the boat. They make most of the Ugly stik lites in both one and two pc. I like the ugly stiks because those darn Northerns have a nasty habit of grabbing the lure right at the boat and zipping under it.

Love the 6 ft Loomis for jigging lite biting Walleyes. Also the Series Ones.Gonna try it out again on the 31st at Devils Lake.
