Default h-s precision detachable magazine

Does anyone have one of these? a guy I work with is trying to sell me his because he sold his rifle he said it worked fine for him but I would like some other opinions before I buy it.

I have built some competition guns with this setup. It is a whole bunch better than the factory Remington detachable magazine system. You can also get higher capacity mags, but at a fairly stiff price - $100 each if I remember correctly.

i was currious if you had gotten the H&S precision detachable magazine yet and if you liked it ?(as thats what is next on my list of upgrades)

It's not a H&S precision magazine but I was considering putting in a Kwik Klip Conversion kit from Cabelas on my 700 BDL. The kit inlcudes the clip floorplate and a 4 round magazine for $75 and additional 4 round clip for $25 and a 10 round for $30. Beats shooting only once and having to dump the floorplate to unload the mag. Don't know how good of a quality this kit is though.

wyzeguy9--- yes I picked it up its at the gunsmith now he has to work on the stock to get it fit its the only detachable mag I think for the 300 ultra mag not sure though sure did get it for good price $100.00 said new it was $220.00 he only had it for 2 months sure am glad he sold that rifle.

Thats the rolls royce of detachables for sure and made of 17-4 SS to boot as well as teflon coated.. Heck Remington Bottom metal can run from 80 dollars(Ebay) to 150 dollars (Brownell) I say you got a heck of a deal.

thanks for all the replies. should I have replaced the original synthetic stock with a aftermarket one and if so what brand?
