I use a 3.5" BPS 12 gauge for turkey hunting. With a Rhino choke, nitro ammo hevi-shot I get unbelieveable patterns. I like the BPS a lot better than my 870....it just seems more rugged and it shoots a better pattern.

I've had a BPS for about 20 years, no problems. A nice, rugged gun. I use mine mostly for waterfowl. Since the gun ejects out the bottom you don't have any openings on the side of the receiver which helps to keep trash out of the action. I don't think you'll regret buying one.
I have a BPS 20ga for rabit hunting and it is a very good gun. I like the bottom ejection. For waterfowl and turkey I went with the Benelli Nova, it is cheaper and has more options. I love mine and it is extramly rugged and durable.

i love my browning BPS . i got it about a year back. i use mine mostly for trap shooting. but have taken out for some upland. the gun is rather heavy. (i have the hunter model/wood stock) but i dont mind it. the only thing i didnt like about it is the bead. it looked as if somone hit it with a hammer because it was so flat. but form $40CDN i replaced it with a browning HiViz fiber optic site. the first time i shot it with the site i shot 49 out of 50. its really simple to change out the bead without damaging it, if you would like to know just PM me
I have 3 BPS's with a bunch of extra barrels too. They are great guns, very reliable.Only drawbacks I've found is they are heavy guns and their LOP is a little on the long side.
I have a bPS in 10ga,and shoot it a lot during waterfowl season.Only thing i found is that you really have to keep them clean. If it gets dirty and crud get ukp in the groove were the safety sits on the inside, the safety will not move and then lock up the action. Had this happen twice. besides that love the gun.It might be heavy but that helps you follow throughton your swing. vangunsmith
