Default 870 super mag vs mossburg 935

I'm going to buy a turkey gun real soon , Folks I'm really stuck between these two. On one hand the 870 with the thumbhole stock which is slimmer and feels more like a gun to me , but hits hard because it's a pump. On the other hand is the moss 935 which is anything like the 835 will throw a great pattern and is a autoloader. I'm torn. I plan to buy comp-n-chokes for either one I buy, with the exception of the 870 which will also have a simms recoil pad on it. Both guns are around 500.00 and are fully camo'd and sport a 24in barrel. The 870 will be closer to 600.00 with the choke and the pad and the 935 will be around 560.00 with the choke. Money is not the object, I want the best patterning gun out of the two, Please help if you can, your advice is greatly appriciated.

not trying to change your mind, but have you considered the Browning Gold? Comes in Mossyoak breakup with the duracoat finish 3" mag capable auto loader for ~$725. If you can get to a store that carries Gold's just pick one up and cycle the action, it is smooooooth. Just trying to give you another option, as far as your question, Id pick which ever one fits your shoulder the best......(although I am kinda leaning towards autoloaders here lately, since you are going to get a pad on it you can have your smith adjust the LOP)

I'd personally go with the Remington. Yes it'll have more shove on the shoulder, but if a longbeard is in your sites, you'll never know the difference in recoil. Nothing against the Mossburg, but the 870 has been around a LONG time is a time-tested design. just my .02

The 935 patterns lots better than any 870 I have ever shot, I just picked up a 935 and like it a lot so far, I also own a benelli Nova which is a great gun and love it to pieces and patterns absolutly awesome with lead terkey loads but for any new types of shot the overbored barrel of the 935 rocks!!!
