A friend asked me to mount a scope and zero it for him. The rifle is a 700 ADL 30-06,the scope is a Bushnell Trophy 3-9 with Weaver mounts and rings. I went to the range this morning, with 165 gr. Core locks the rifle is shooting sub 1" groups at 100 yards. Also tried 165 gr. Federal Vital Shock Ballistic Tips, they shoot to the same point of impact but with 1 1/4" inch groups.Nice shootin piece. I'm not sure how old the rifle is, the saftey doesn't lock the bolt.
i bought a .270ADL with the walnut stock last year, i just bought a Sightron SII 3x12x40 and mounted it on it this week... 700's are deffinately great guns
Over the years i've bought, traded, and sold a lot of guns. Over those same years more 700 Rems. have shot really good for me out of the box than any other brand!!! AND, i mean by a wide margin!!
I see in other post guys are complaining about Rem. quality, and that's sad!!! They've been makeing the 700 basically the same way for a long long time, you'd think they could do it RIGHT in there sleep by now!!!
i bought a rem 700 vls this year and mounted a leupold VX II 6x18x40 on it and it doesn't matter what i shoot everything is under 1in at 100yds. good enough for me
