Default Savage Model 11

Anyone have a Savage Model 11 out there. I just picked one up in 22-250 for $175 used. It is in great shape. Barrel is nice and clean. Wood is the typical Savage wood. But this is going to be my yote rifle. something that is light to carry and can take a beating. I figured for $175 .. what the heck.
Any opinions on the rifle?

Great rifle. Have one in .223 although I had it rebarreled to a .221 Fireball. Great shooter. You'll love it.

I have a 7-08 and its a great knock-around gun. Trigger stinks ,but does it shoot. I think a Basix trigger will fix the problem. I like my ugly Savage.

Hey Skidboot 77, I put a Basix trigger in my brothers 22-250 and man did it make a difference. I may put one in this Savage I got but it seems like the trigger is pretty smooth already. We'll have to see. I think I am going to buy a Leupold Rifleman 4x12x40 scope for it. I know the scope is more expensive than the rifle but I like Leupolds, especailly in the dawn and dusk hours.
