What is the best 30-06 you can buy without spending alot of money? I will be buying a new gun soon and I am looking at 30-06 caliber but I do not want to spend to much money. What gun should I buy.

IMO, a Remington synthetic-stocked 700 ADL. They're decent rifles that aren't that expensive. I had one and it was a nice shooter. Savages are also said to be good and inexpensive, but I have no experience with Savage rifles.

I'd have to go with a savage combo.

For a lower priced 30-06 go with a Savage. The Remington 700 ADL is another good buy. Stay away from the Remington 710.They are higher priced but the Ruger M-77 is a great rifle.

NEF handi rifle
Savage
Rem 700
Weatherby vangaurd or Howa 1500 (basicly same gun)

Except for the NEF they are all around the same price $ 350 - $ 400 roughly speaking

Do you need or want stainless steel? How heavy? What length barrel do you want? Other features that you want? We'll help you narrow it down, give us more to go on.

These are rifles that sale for under $400. I would look to the Weatherby vangurd, Savage, & Remington ADL synthetic. Also, don't rule out looking in local gun shops or gun shows that carry used rifles. Often times a good rifle with a quality scope can be bought for considerably less than buying a new rifle alone. Such as, I purchaed a Remington 700 BDL 30-06 for a friend at a recent gun show. The rifle with a Leupold Vari-X II 3-9X40 went for $550. The gun was a few years old a looked like new with only one small scratch on the stock forend about 3/4" long. The gun alone sales for more than the combo if bought new. At the range the gun shot 1-3/8" groups with core-lokts.

a savage model 110 isnt too much, and neither is the remington 700. go down to your gun store and see what they have, you might find something youlike there for a tad lower than what you might pay new
