For a bolt action I'd pick a CZ527.

I have a Savage .223 and its great. its a light barrel.

Oh by the way I like the Rem 700 bolt guns for the .223 and 22-250.
Other good ones are the Ruger Varmiter and the Savage.

I'd go with a T/C Encore. They aren't the cheapest but the versatility is amazing, what other gun can you turn into a pistol, a shotgun or a blackpowder rifel, in addition to about any centerfire rifle cartridge you want.
