vanguard vs rem. 700 sps

I am looking for opinions i am presently torn between a Weatherby vanguard or one of the new Remington 700 SPS rifles either of which in 270 win.

The SPS is free floated if I recall, that's a good feature, but it can be done to the Vanguard and should be less than $100 if it's a big deal to you. They're not exactly in the same price range though, why these two?
