I got a pine ridge once on a muzzleloader. Its a 50 dollars scope. I killed 4 or 5 deer. Its crap, but it worked.

I have had great service out of my World Class Tasco 2x7...but I dont think they are mde in the same place they were when I bought mine in the mid 90's. Have killed 30+ deer through that scope since 97 and the zero hasnt been touched since it was dialed in. Nothin fancy but it will hold a zero and get the job done. Have made a few shots in the 300 yard range as well.

with glass cheap and good aren't in the same category, especially in the $50 range. Take the $50 and buy a couple of boxes of ammo and spend some time at the range with your iron sights.

I posted the other day about my bushnell trophy. It stands up to some harsh abuse and 30.06 recoil. The biggest issue is eye relief. Cheapie scopes usually have under 3.25" and that, my friend, could put you in the E.R. with a big gun.

I'm a leupold guy, but have had good luck with that Bushnell.

Oxymoron. No such animal. Quality and dependability will cost you a couple of bucks more than Wal-Mart's best.
