Default Recommendation for slugs for Remington 11-87

Any recommendations on type/brand of slugs for Remington 11-87 (fully-riffled barrel)?

Thanks

Steve

Hate to tell you this but every gun is a little different in its likes. IMO you need to buy a box of several different slugs and shoot groups . 3 that I would try are Lightfeild Inpact Hybred EXP and Hastings and Rem Buckhammer

I have the same gun and I found that the lightfeilds worked the best. Make sure you use the sabot slugs when your trying different slugs out. I went through many different brand before I decided on the lightfeilds. If you don't like paying high prices for slugs I would buy a smooth bore barrel.

I would try something in the velocity range of 1300, 1500, and 1700-1900.

My marlin 512 hated the Hornady H2k. But it shoots awesome with Winchester's cheapest sabot, 1 oz. @ 1350 fps.

You really do have to try a few brands. If you plan to do this all in one day, think about a partner (if you know someone that can shoot well) to do some of the shooting. You may try the slug the gun likes best last, but by then you may be flinching (the dreaded f word).
