Winchester Classic Super Grade 300 Win Mag

I am planning buying a Rifle 300 Win.Mag (Winchester Classic Super Grade). I am looking for advise from people who have experience of using this gun. Is it a good gun?

The super grade is a beautiful gun, though their not what their supposed to be. The quality of winchester guns has been steadily decreasing over the years, and one of the worst examples of fit and finish was a super grade. be sure to carefully examine the gun, around the butt and barrel inletting. Also make sure you are getting select wood. I have seen several new ones with 2x4 quality wood. They are alo a heavy gun to lug around, but if you can find a ood one, get it.

There are some beautiful ones and there are dogs..fit and finish seems to vary on these but I have seen some beautiful wood on some. Like a lot of Winchesters their accuracy can vary I wouldn't buy one not for their price point.
