Default Marlin Model 60

Hey yall. I just wanted to ask everyones opinion on the Marlin M60 .22 rifle. I love mine. I think it is also underrated beside the 10/22. Shoots, in my neck of the woods, I can get a Marlin 60 and 500 rnds for less than $150. If yall can pls post yalls experiences/opinions of the Marlin Model 60. Thanks and God Bless!

Biggest problem with Marlin model 60s I have seen is most folks don't clean them. After a couple of bazillion rounds, they don't function to well. I have bought a couple for next to nothing, because "they jam, and they don't work!" I took them home, and cleaned them up, and they funtion like new.

I got two of em. Great plinkers and rabbit/squirrel guns. Yep just keep them clean and they will shoot forever.

I love my old beloved Marlin Model 60!

Yes, it is true and well documented..... The Marlin Model 60, totally, absolutely, DEMANDS to be kept clean!!! Keep it clean after ever 100 rounds (and I mean break it down to clean), and it will last a lifetime. I have had the same Marlin Model 60 since I was 14! [8D]

I have owned two model 60s and three 10 /22s. The marlins were a little more accurate, but the 10/22s were more dependable. If I had cleaned the guns properly the 60s would have been great. My pickup guns don't get cleaned like they should so I stayed with the Ruger.

I've had mine since I was a teenager. No doubt it will be the first passed down. It's given me some very fond memories of squirrel hunting with my friends. Never had a problem.

I had a marlin mod 60 it was nice handling gun but not as accurate as the 10-22 I traded it off for. heres a target I shot yesterday at 50 yards with my 10-22.

I'm very proud of this group I had to post it again this time with a quarter in the picture for reference, I did this with Wolf .22 Match Extra the stuff is worth the $5.00 per box of 50 rounds. I would like to know what they do in a Marlin Mod 60.
