Reduced Recoil/Managed Recoil Rifle Ammo

Recently read an article about Remington and Federal's new reduced recoil rifle ammo. Have any of y'all used it yet? I'm seriously thinking about tracking some down for my son. We're going on his first deer hunt this fall and I don't want him to worry so much about recoil when he takes the shot.

Hi abnhunter,

Haven't used any myself yet. It certainly looks like a great idea though. I've been thinking of trying some myself for times when full power loads are not needed, (sacrilege to some people), for hunting. And some of the loads look like they have some tactical considerations as well. Certainly for times when less recoil would make target reacquisition faster and overpenetration less of an issue.

Please post and let us know what you think and which you used after you've given it a try.

Thanx Dave. The article I saw on it was in Field and Stream, I think. The author made it sound like the cat's meow.
