jjo,

I've got two of them, and they are excellent turkey guns or any type bird gun for that matter. I have been using the turkey chokes that came with them and the modified chokes (for ducks), and have not had any type problem. The price is right also, the first one I got new for 239.00 and the second one was $288.00. Can't beat the price, especially when you compare it to other name brands. I'd put it up against any of the $1000.00 plus guns for dependability. I hunt swamp land for Turkey and ducks, sometimes I've come home with the gun covered in mud and with a dead bird or birds on the atv, never had a malfunction. Because the swamps I hunt are flooded every year, mud is a problem, I have some autos' and I don't think they could take the same abuse. NOTE: Dead is Dead, and a Turkey or Duck don't know what he was shot with.

I've got a buddy that has a 1300 with the slug barrel and has taken a truck load of deer and hogs with it over the years, and he has never had a problem either.

I don't have the turkey model but I have had a 1300 for 19 years with not one bit of trouble from it or a single jam. It is a very solid, very dependable gun that will last you a long time with proper care and won't cost you an arm and a leg.
