Does anyone have this particular rifle or caliber? If so would you recommend it? Thanks..

I don't but a buddy of mine does and he loves it. His handloads shoot a 180 grain x bullet at 3500 fps and are very accurate. He has used it on elk, whitetails and antelope with good performance on all of them.

First thing that I would ask myself when considering a gun like this would be................ Am I really a good enough marksman to actually take advantage of this cartridges real ability?

Second thing would be.............. If I am not, will I actually put in the time to practice as much as it would take to use this cartridges ability?

Third would be............ Am I going to be hunting anywhere that a 500+ yard shot on elk and moose size game would actually be a common occurance?

Fourth thing would be............. Do I really want to spend $60.00 - $100.00 for a box (20 rounds) of ammo?


If you can say yes to all of these then go for it and prepare to get a sore shoulder.
