I was just curious if anyone else here shoots the old 7.65 Argentine (Belgian) Mauser. I've got a Model 1891. It belonged to my grandfather, so it has a lot of sentimental value to me. I killed a nice wallhanger with it this past deer season using 150 gr. Hornady Sp. Pt and 47grs. IMR 4350.
I've got two, a cutdown 1891, and a 1909 carbine. 7.65 Mauser is a very well balanced cartridge, not very far behind the proformance of the 7.62x51 Nato.
