Default RE: Pre 64 Winchester model 70, whats it worth?

If the action is is good shape you could sell the action alone for more that $300. Many people would love to get one to build a rifle on. They make great custom rifles.

Shooting wise they are not worth as much a new Model 70. I ain't in to that collecting stuff though so thats just my opinion.

Most pre 64 model 70 winchester's are worth a lot more than $350, if you look around you will find that they are selling well over the $500 mark.

The value book shows they are worth $315 for a good action alone . One that grades very/good could run as high as $900. You just have to find someone that wants one , thats the hard part .

If it's in true 90% conditon I'd be willing to double your money. $300.00 is a steal for that rifle provided it's in all original shape, no refinish, no extra holes drilled, etc.
