Help regarding Mossberg 695..

I have never been able to shoot consistently with my Rem. 11-87 and Hastings scope mount slug barrel. I am thinking about selling the barrel and buying a Mossberg 695. Any comments on this gun?

I bought a 695 last year . mine shoots 2 1/2 inch groups at 100 yds with the lightfield 2 3/4 inch sabot. I have a simmons prodiamond scope on it.
