Last is my Thompson Center Triumph, also at 80 yards using Barnes T-EZ, and two pellets of Triple 7 Magnums.

First group was to the left of the red, the 2nd just above the 1st group, last group to the right of it

Are the savage 220's finicky about what you feed them?

I've got a Mossberg 695. It loves Remington Accutips. I know that doesn't really help, but it'll shoot accutips better than some of my rifles shoot. For a slug gun it can't be beat.

the savage 220 has been tested by the savage themselves with Remington Accutips and Federal Vital Shok

I found the Accutips to have the edge on the Vital Shoks, also when it comes to the 20ga I find that the 3" will shoot better then the 2-3/4" once you get to about 100 yards or further

12ga, I will say use the 2-3/4", the 3" is just adding recoil to your shoulder

My 220 likes the Accutips also! Nice slug guns!

That's some good shooting. But I know those ain't plinking guns. I imagine those 3" slugs aren't fun to shoot of the bench.
