Newer Remington 7600 review
Anyone have any experience with the newer remington 7600 carbines? Are they as good as the older ones were?

My dads was bought new in 1994, and it's a great shooting gun. A .30-06. He's shot a pile of deer with it, all with core lokt 180gr.
Don't know about the new ones. But that rifle is a good one. -Jake |

How is the accuracy and reliability on these newer ones? I handled one at gander mountain and they felt "solid" but not as solid as the older ones. But the older ones I've shot and handled had a wood stock and the 30-06 carbine I handled had a synthetic stock on it.

I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I handled a new one this year and they don,t even put swivel studs in em.

I had to get on the website to check, but you're correct. no sling studs. I emailed remington to ask about this. Interested to see how/if they respond.

I,ll be anxious to hear what lame excuse they give you.

No reply.

I'd like to pick one up in .35 Whelen someday.
