Default LimbSaver Barrel De-Resonator

Have seen these all over the hunting shows. Wondering if anyone on here uses them on their firearms. If so, do they work or is it just a gimick? Your feedback is appreciated.

Sometimes they do, sometimes not. I have several rifles that I have tried them and was a wasted time. My Savage 112 BVSS-S in .220 LOVES it!!!! Cut its groups from mid .7" groups down to .3" groups with boring regularity. So it cut them in half.

I have put them on our sniper rifles and several field rifles and you will hear that you need to slide them up and down the barrel to find the "sweet spot". From all the ones I have tried, slide it all the way down the barrel to within 3 inches of the forearm tip and start there. If you can not get it to work from there to 1 inch from the forend, it more than likely won't.

Worked well on my Kimber .308 (has a light barrel).

They can, but its not as simple as slipping it on the barrel and viola!

They would work if you take the time to move it up and down the barrel to find it sweet spot for it, but i quit using Limbsaver silencers on my bows cause they get hard and start to split. Limbersaver even says that they need to be changed periodically for those reasons. They are just to expensive to replace every couple of years.

Its very similar to the BOSS system on Browning and some Winchester rifles. All it does is change the harmonics of the barrel. Barrel harmonics is the same reason a particular load will shoot great in one rifle but not another.
If you have a POS rifle, it will not turn it into a one hole shooter. I tried one and took it back.

They are BS and basically their best function is to keep the barrel of one gun from bumping the stock of another in a two rifle gun case. But hey its your money. Seriously do you think a rubber donut is going to make a poor shooting rifle a track driver. Ask the best "forum" shooters you know if they use one.
You could have hung a box of rocks on my mini 14 and really it would have only made it hit some where on the wall lower.

brought one.

When I'm at the range looking to shoot tight groups, I use it.

I believe it works......................How much ?

Certainly if you shoot quickly, I believe you get the most benefit !
