Default How is the Rossi 92?

I have a yearning for a saddle rifle in 357 or 44. I was looking at the Rossi 92. They make a model with a case hardened receiver and octagon barrel with full length magazine tube. Capacity is 12 + 1. Just wondering if anyone has a Rossi 92 and how does it function?

It's a good solid rifle. It's the same gun as the Legacy Sports 92's a few years prior to them going to the high dollar Italian gun. They've always recieved good marks even in the CAS crowd (once they did some action work to live up to their expectations).

The only negative is the little safety on top of the reciever. But that can be glued to "fire" or replaced with a little black round blank.
For the price, it's worth dealing with.

You might try to find an older model Puma or EMF that didn't have it on there. They most likly command a premium and were getting harder to find 3-4 years ago...but they probably pop up from time to time on gun broker.

I think you'll be happy
