I'm having a problem getting a Glock 27 Generation 4. The problem isn't finding it, the problem is getting getting it at the law enforcement price, which is roughly $150 less then what others pay. I went too 3 different shops here in NJ that are allowed to sell at the officer rate, all 3 claim that Glock is having a problem with supply and demand. I called Glock and they said the samething, each Glock is made to order, and with that and the demand things are backed up. I want the 27 for off-duty carry, my Glock 23 is great, but after 15 years I'm getting tired of carrying it off duty
You aren't gaining anything with the gen 4 in the "baby" Glocks (26 &27) unless the gen 3 grip doens't fit your hand then the slightly smaller grip my be a benefit to you.
The only real upgrade from a gen 3 to a gen 4 is the dual encapsulated spring and guide rod assembly. The gen 3 baby glocks already have this guide rod and spring assembly so the one real benefit is already there.
IMO save the money and get the gen 3 27.

Money isn't an issue between the generation 3 & 4, same price. The problem is Glock they are not shipping law enforcement price Glocks out as fast as they can
waiting isn't the problem, the problem is with GLOCK, they have many for sale and to ship out to stores for retail price, but for law enforcement they put us on the back burner cause they don't want to fellow their own policy with a discount price for us

better get over it, if ya wait long enough, they might eventually get around to discounting yall.
