Default RUGER: Hawkeye?

Anybody have any feedback on the Hawkeye how well they shoot or should I say "group"? Was thinkin about one of these in a 300 win mag. Any knowledge on this rifle would be appreciated. Thank you.

Good, solid, dependable rifles. You could do a lot worse.

Built like a tank (Standard 7lbs - 8.25lbs).

got one in a 358 win, SS syth stock, can't complain probably 1 1/8 - 1 1/4 groups @ 100. Pretty smooth on the action, trigger could stand some improvment, as long as I feed it at least 200 gr bullets action is almost (I did say almost mind you) as smooth as my sako's.

I have one with a wood stock in 30-06, I bought it right after i traded in my 700 adl that would not load (never again will I buy a rifle from wal-mart!) and was very pleased with the ultra-strong, controlled round feed action. I have heard that their triggers are not the best but, I hardly notice the difference between it and my other rifles.
