Default Trigger job on Savage 17 hmr

Bought a Savage 93r17 GV about 3 weeks ago shoots about 1" groups at 100 yds
trigger pull is heavy though. The gun is at a gunsmith now getting the trigger lightend .
Has anyone lightened the factory trigger on their savage or opt to go with a replacement trigger altogether.
