Default Busted firing pin-Win 1300

Last Sat I was dismayed to find the back end of the pin where the hammer (?) hits had broken off. The main shaft had cracked through. I ordered another one, but dang! I' ve put 3-4k shots through it. Did I hit the magic mark (like 110K mi for a starter)? Anybody else had this experience?

Default RE: Busted firing pin-Win 1300

I' ve had a Winchester Ranger 120 (which I think is essentially a cheaper version of the 1300) for almost 20 years and have put literally thousands of rounds through it without any problems whatsoever......
