Winchester SX3 - 12 Guage 26 Inches Field Walnut
Got this gun three weeks ago to use for skeet, and eventually trap and someday for water fowl. I got it to take the place of my Remington 870 12 guage.
After getting it, I tore it down, cleaned off any packing grease/oil, and oiled it up, as recommended in the manual.
I have fired a couple hundred rounds of 1 1/8 oz 2 3/4 inch sporting clay rounds through it (Walmart specials).
- The gun has functioned flawlessly
- Recoil is well controlled, although still present with the shells I have been using
- At a little under 7 pounds, the gun is easy to handle.
- Finish is real good
- Wood is OK, nothing special
I paid $845 delivered buying it new of gunbroker.
So far, I am pleased with the purchase.
Update: I ran a box of Winchester extra light 2 3/4 in 1 oz shells through it today. They cycled perfectly. My skeet shooting is still abysmal, but the gun is working great:-)
