yes i know it's got a long bolt modified for a short action ..so what ..as long as it feels good and shoots accurately ..

I have a Tikka T3 SS in 243 Left Hand. Best rifle I have ever owned. All factory ammo, four different types, shoot MOA. My handloads go 1/2 MOA. I have done nothing to the rifle but adjusted the trigger myself down to 2 pounds. I have had two Remington and three Browning centerfire rifles and my next purchase will be a Tikka even if they were the same price. Not as pretty as the Browninig but smooth bolt and better trigger. No need to even bring the Remington into the conversation, sloppy actions and terrible trigger.

I've got a tikka T3 30-06 along with 2 Remington 700's one in 270 the other in 7mm mag also a remington model 7 in 260. The Tikka shoots as good as my remingtons has a smoother bolt and weighs less. I'm gonna get a 25-06 soon and am stuck on either a Remington 700 sps or a tikka but am leaning towards a tikka I like it better
