Well! I finally got my Ruger Hawkeye in 264 win mag set up with a 4.5x14x40 buckmaster and man I love it!!: I set it up with factory Nolser 120 ballistic tips. After bore sighting it and 4 shots at 100 yards later(3 shots cover the group with a dime) and a 20oz diet dr. prepper bottle (1 shot at the bottle.) I was hook. I was sharing my enthusiasum on how please with the combo.
wait till you try some 140 vld's and really stretch it out. I shoot a 6.5 gibbs, actually the ballistic twin of the 264 wm and it easily will kill a deer at 1000 yards.

Well my 35 Whelen Ruger Hawkeye, wears a Zeiss and a Boyds JRS Classic, glass bedded at the tang, recoil lug and the first 4" of barrel it shoots 250 gr hornady RN bullets and accounted for two doe and a six point this season.
