The only drawback there MIGHT be if you're not a fan of the cartridge, or in many cases, the availability of ammo. It's scarce in my area, not sure about yours.

Yea, Im not a fan of the .380 not saying its bad or not enough etc...its just not my cup of tea.
I also don't like the trigger feel on any of the 380 auto's I have tried out.

I finally got to handle one of the S&W 442's and (for me) the trigger was harsh and the grip was to small so I went ahead and ordered the LCR, if its not exactly what I want I will just have an excuse to get another gun.

I finally got a LCR a couple months ago. I had been carrying a S&W 649 for years and a G-27.They were or are fine for carrying for a few hours or so.For a long day they got on the heavy side and very uncomfortable. I have since retired the two mentioned after I got the LCR.Several times I've carried the LCR all day and forgot I even had it on.There's been a few times I emptied my pockets when I got home, start to walk away and realize I never took the LCR off.
I'm a Ruger fan anyway but Ruger out did themselves with this little jewel. The 38+P has enough punch I'm comfortable with.I use a old Bianchi IWB holster I've had for close to 30 years. The Smith 649 has a similar hump or shape for the shrouded hammer. The LCR fits this holster in that area a little tighter, which I'm sure will stretch. You can't go wrong with the little LCR.
