Remington has begun importing Mausers from the old Charles Daly line. Does anyone have report on how accurate these guns are? I am very familiar with the Mauser action but not how accurate these guns are, I am specifically looking at the 30-06.

Actually, they were importing them for a couple years (as the Models 798 and 799), but they have been discontinued by Remington as of this year. You may still find some NIB on dealers shelves, but they are no longer being imported by Remington. I've handled one, and while it appears to be a decent Mauser 98 clone, it's not quite the same grade as the CZ 550.
I have a 798 in 300 win mag and it is a very nice rifle. Well worth the money. I would recommend it if you are looking for a nice, affordable Mauser.

What is it with Remington lately? They have been importing rifles for a while now. Those double rifles from Baikal (Remington's Sparta line) and now Mausers from whomever. I guess they don't have enough faith in their own firearms.
