I was looking at the .308 express but I might get the .338 express instead. I like lever action rifles for hunting in heavy cover and it will be good for the occasional long shots you might get. I already have 5 other Marlin rifles. For real stopping power in heavy brush for hog hunting I use a .450 Marlin. Haven't had anything run off yet.
