You're going prairie dogging with a 375 Ruger. You, sir, are far braver than I! Maybe I'm a wimp, but I'll stick to a .22-250 or .223 for high volume shooting, thanks!

Do you plan on scoping it, or just using the open sights?

I have the same scope on my Ruger Hawkeye (all weather) in .280 Rem.
Great glass/great gun!I got it this past winter so this will be my first year hunting with it.Hope the brass comes through soon!
FYI-I have some once fired 7x57 brass I'd like to trade for .280 brass if you or someone you know would be interested.

Nice shooter, bought one spring of '08, have taken it to the range a couple times. You'll enjoy it. OH, recoil isn't bad for the caliber. Hint-don't bench rest!

That 375 Ruger is a great choice! I have spent quite a bit of time bunny-jumping with mine. In the first box of ammunition, my stock split, I dislike the recoil pad and the iron sights. McMillan has a drop in stock. I bought the rifle for elk hunting and decided on the Speer Grand Slam 285 bullet. The three factory loads in my opinion don't do the cartridge justice. 23 shots is my max from the bench in a session, but have shot many more times than that walking around. I am using a Leupold M8 4x for glass. Ron, I saw some new cases on Gunbroker for about what it would cost online, if there was any (I have no idea who is selling it). Good luck, CE

Did Ruger replace the stock for you?! Was it a defect in the stock, or just that much recoil? I would be seriously ticked if the stock cracked after 100 boxes of ammo, let alone one.
