Good to hear as I have been thinking about picking one up as a backup to a backup.

I have 1 of these tiny little pistols and have ran about 250 rounds through it with 0 malfunctions. It's ALWAYS in my packet in backup of my .45. I can TOTALLY recommend them. Accuracy is an NON-issue with them as if you are far enough away to have to worry about accuracy, you're far enough away for it to be DARN HARD to explain why deadly force was justified!!!!!

I really like these things but it scares me with them not having a tradition manual safety.

Hornady critical defense is supposed to be best if you can find it. TRUST me-the trigger is so hard & long, you'll NEVER make it go off by accident when shooting it.

Take a look at the new LCR by Ruger. It is being introduced at the SHOT show rightnow.I have already put my name on the waiting list.Looks like a very good carry gun.

I'm worried about having it go off when carrying it not when shooting it but I think that's what you meant. I know the trigger is fairly hard but I don't know I just don't like pistols without a manual safety. I don't know why but I've always liked safeties. Does the after recall models have a trigger safety like the after recall SR9's do?

It would be as hard or harder for the LCP to go off by accident as an double action only revolver. The trigger pull on these lil guns is very heavy. I pack mine in front pocket without worry.
