whats your opinion of the remington cdl ? in 22-250 looking to buy for varmints

Take a look at Remingtons varmint rifle. It is not as pretty as the CDL but it is cheaper and built on the same action. I have one chambered in the 17 fireball and love it.

I like everything about it except the method of installing the recoil pad.....

crude is my term!
It's the nicest stock Remington has put on a rifle in a very long time.....except fot the recoil pad.....I still like the stock they used on the classic and would prefer that one.
