Default Browning's NEW X-Bolt ?

I am looking for reviews from "owners" on Browning's NEW X-Bolt.

Both positive and negitive comments appreciated.

Looking at .338 Winchester Magnum for big game hunting.

Will be my last high powered long range hunting rifle as I own; .204, .243 and 7MM.

I just bought a X Bolt in 7mm WSM Medallion and I love it.

Here is why I liked the X Bolt-
-Detachable Magazine (Some people have complained about it being made of 'plastic', but it is actually very tough and light)
-Bolt Unlock Button (Basically, if you have a round chambered you don't have to take the safety off to open the bolt and remove the round)
-Looks very good!
-Great Trigger and it's adjustable, breaks very nicely, it actually surprised me the first time I shot it because, it took a lot less than my Remington 700. It is set at about 3 1/2 from the factory.
-Very Accurate
-Recoil Pad is good

Only negative I have so far is the price of the ammo, but that is my fault, I knew what the cost was when I bought it. Cheapest 7mm WSM ammo I found around here is $45.00

I'm thinking of one in 325 WSM. Any thoughts?

Great caliber and would compete with .338 Win mag and one I would consider for elk but not every manuf makes the factory loads. I don't understand why it isn't as accepted as the 300WSM which almost everyone makes loads for.

Sounds like yall need to start reloading. You think your x-bolt is accurate now-just wait till you see what it can do when shooting finely tuned ammo.

I have a Browning X-Bolt in 7mm and I absolutely love it. It is with out a doubt the most accurate gun I own. I took it to the range and knowing the ballistics of the 7 mag bullet and placed winchester ballistic silvertips in 1 1/2 inch groups at two hundred yards. Three hundred and four hundred yards were dead on as well. Obviously I had a rest and everything but its great to know that where that crosshair is, that bullet is going. I can't wait to start reloading and seeing what results I get at the range then. There's no doubt in my mind that if I had it to do over again, I'd get a Browning X-Bolt.
