Default I'm thinking about buying the Remington 770 package

Would this be a good gun to buy? There is a 30-06 remington 770 rifle combo with a burris scope. Any advice, comments, sugguestions?

I had one in my hand last night and it felt cheap and the bolt cycled very hard and felt like it had sand in it, This one was new so maybe the bolt will get better after awhile of use, But imo if it is cost that makes you want a 770 look for a used peice, Model 70, 700, a bolt and so on

Don't touch it!!! Is it new or used? With a Burris scope it should be used the package deals usually come with a bushnell scope that's only $30 off the rack and a piece of crap.

The 770 is a cheap noviced rifle that isn't made well or for any real hunting aplications. It is mainly bought by ''I didn't know any better'' people. For the same price you can get a Savage, Weatherby Vangaurd, Stevens, or Mossberg, all of whick are better guns.

A agree 100% with the other 2 posts. Bolt feels really bad on the 770.
