17 HM2 Not HMR ?

Doesany one have a 17 HM2 ( 17 Mach 2 )
And how do you like it ?

I have been thinking of getting one and wondered if any one like's it or not.
And what brand rifle do you have it in ?

I have a savage mark II left hand varminter, awesome lil squirrel rifle. it shoots great, the first 3 shot group I fired from mine was .22" at 50 yards. killed a dozen chucks with it one at 248 yards but that is pushing the lil cartridge hard. if you hunt edible small game, its hard to beat.

I have 2, a Ruger 10/22 converted to 17hm2 and a Remington 580 also converted to 17hm2. Realy neet little guns.

I have both the 17HMR & the 17HM2. Like the 17 HM2 better & ammo is cheaper.

I have a Marlin 17HM2 and love it. Extremely accurate. Took it P-dog hunting in western OK a year ago. Doesn't do well in the strong wind but dogs within 150 yards were toast.

There were places you could find a box of shells for around $3.79. I stocked upseveral thousand. Way cheaper to shoot than the HMR.

Several buddies converted Ruger 10/22 over with a barrel change and heavier bolt knob. They were hosing the dogs with them.
