Default Anyone tried the Savage model 25 Classic

I have one but it looks funny without the barrel nut.
The fit and finish is great for a rifle in this price range, but the removable clip is plastic and doesn't seem to be very well made.
I have fired it with two different brands of ammo,"read cheep stuff"while breaking in the barrel, Rem.UMC,and Wolf. I'm not impressed with the accuracy results with this ammo but I'll tweak some reloads and see what happens then.
I love the feel of the gun and if I can get it to shoot like a Savage,I'll be a happy man.

Well It turned in some sub 1/2" groups so I'm very happy with it.

How is the plastic clip holding up? I want one with the laminated stock.
