Default 17 hmr

just git me my first 17 hmr. boy is that little guy fun. its a marlin 17 v. with a simmons 4-12-40. i sighted it in at 50 yards and shes dead on at [200] yards!!! i about pissed my pants. just wanted to know if anyone has a good one anr what they think about them.

These were Ear Shot with a CZ .17 HMR between 50 & 60 yds.....

I bought a Marlin bull barrel 17 hmr with a good Nikkon scope a few years ago. You can drive tacks with the thing at 100 yards, and i have made some nice shots in the 200 yard range. Great little gun to grab if you just want to wander around the woods and be able to shoot anything from squirrels to coyotes.

I bought a 917V last year, shoots great. I tweeked the trigger by replacing the spring with one from a bic pen, help quite a bit.

I have a Remington 597 17HMR with the gray laminate stock. Haven't had any problems with it at all ........

Hey Reb, what bullet was you using? Mine loves the Federal .17 gr V-Max but I picked up a box of CCI FMJ to try as well.

i am using hornady express v-max. tried them cci its a no go for me
