I have a Kimber Pro CDP II. I have only shot it around 100 times so far, but so far I'm loving it. It shoots to the point of aim, and its very concealable, yet it has the fullsize frame, its just trimmed up with rounded edges and a 4" barrel.

I've got a SIG GSR 1911... All I can say is... It's never jammed... Looks awsome and will put every round in a tennis ball at 25 yards free handed...

I have rather large hands so I love my para ordnance double stack 1911 pistols.

Hard to go wrong with most 1911's on the market today. Figure how much you want to spend, then look at what various manufactures have in your price range. I have had good luck with both Kimbers and Springfield Armory. You can spend anywhere from 400 for a GI model Springfield to 3,000 plus for Wilson Combat, Les Baer, Nighthawk, edbrown, etc.... So price and model size will be your biggest factor in deciding which 1911 to purchase.

Loved my Colt and regret nowselling it....

Worked the trigger a little, and it functioned flawlessly with the 230 XTP's I loaded for it.

I know there are a lot of Taurus haters out there, but I just got my Taurus PT1911 in stainless in January and love it. Only complaint is the cheap grips they put on it, but I replaced them with some I like. It's got a lot of nice features for under $600 and hasn't let me down on the range yet.
