Default Ithaca deer slayer III

I received my deer slayer 3 today. What a beautiful gun. The wood is awesome, everything about it is awesome. They have done a great job and it's 100 percent AMERICAN made. What a gun.

I bought a 12 ga and topped it off with a Leupold 3.5 x 10 x40. Im not sure if thats to much scope for the gun but I can always switch later.

Ithaca Gun always made a fine firearm. It wasn't long ago I passed by the origional factory and my heart dropped when I saw how fallen down it was. I have always lived about 20 miles from there and was always a big fan of their guns. At one time, most of the shotguns sold in these parts were Ithaca's. I still own a model 37 in 16 ga. and I will never part with it. I bought it brand new and will probably beput in the groundwith it. I know you will be happy with your new investment and you will never be sorry.
Goodluck

Toby,
The old Model 37 in 16 ga. is now considered a collectors item. I can't tell you how many people have tried to buy her from me and I won't sell. I have a slug and a 28" modified barrels for it so it can be used to small game or deer. I haven't used in her in a few years because 3 years ago this part of the state went to using rifle instead of shotgun. The model 37 I own was made sometime, I believe in the early 1950's. If you find one made in 16 ga., buy it!!!!! Good luck with your new one, it's a great firearm.
